phinnia: (don't fuck with cthulhu)
i don't know what in god's name is wrong with me, because i'm letting the child listen to the infernal madonna albmum on the main stereo. (he really does need a new stereo. i just haven't got one yet; i'm trying to find a balance between indestructableness, simple controls and not way too much money. his mp3 player was so wacky buggy it has been returned for a replacement, which will hopefully arrive soon. <3

today was, other than that, astonishingly boring: i cleaned a huge bag of junk out of my desk and art supplies bin. well, i suppose i yelled at the post office for they did not do my tellings. They still have not entirely done my tellings, because they think that four packages mean two packages. they have trouble with math at the post office. or they have some complex machinery that can make four into two, some kind of large hadron collider for numbers or some crazy sesame street glue and attack foam. i don't know. i'm tired and it's halfway through the week with the kid home. one starts to get a little punchy now and again.

also clocks do not work normally at the post office; i was told to call them at eight to let the carrier know that i needed the packages delivered. i did this. i ended up getting the janitor (or perhaps a burglar - maybe that's where my other two packages went!) that informed me they didn't open until nine.

OKAY THEN WHATEVER RIGHT.

so i have some clickies, i'm sure those are more interesting than my demented ramblings ...

bbc's in pictures album of Michael Jackson memerobalia. because he's selling it. like you do.

(am i the only one who thinks that Michael Jackson is our generation's Howard Hughes?)

from [livejournal.com profile] foxestacado, who is always able to make me smile with this stuff: Watchmen movie advertised on condoms. 'we're society's only protection.'

um.

right.

okay then.

and one from the lovely [livejournal.com profile] ladymurha (whose original link wasn't working for me for some reason but i did some googling because this is pretty cool, i like this sort of thing:) girls born with 'mermaid syndrome'.

oh oh. i forgot:

the boy cat (neko, who is trying to take over the world) was playing with some weird little bit of something, sponge or packing material or dry cereal, i have no clue: and he scooped it up in his paw and tossed it and it landed somewhere on the media center thing. then he stood up and started peering over the shelves, walking side to side on his back legs while he tried to find the thing. it was WEIRD.

he also eats little bits of my hair, which [livejournal.com profile] arhh believes is for genetic sampling purposes. i wouldn't be a bit surprised.
