okay, so yesterday i fell asleep and missed my neuro appointment. so i'm rebooking that. (on the upside, i do feel somewhat better today.)

threadless is having a sale today - all of their t-shirts are $9. (i buy a lot of sean's t-shirts there. some of their patterns are cute for kids. they have some great adults patterns, and some kind of lame adults patterns. good price and reasonable quality shirts anyway.)

today i'm getting the results of my sleep study. i'm kind of dreading it, because i have a difficult time finding a comfortable pain-free position to lie in without having to cope with a cpap mask on my face. (the rheumatologist looked at the results and says that i do have mild sleep apnea. the only question at this point is what they're going to do about it. dread dread dread.)

how are you? i'm okay, but the sims have/has been eating my brain of late. i keep saying that's going to change.

clickies from [livejournal.com profile] mactavish:

vegas sees wedding boom on 9/9/09. you can also get married in a 99 cent store. in aisle 9. with a wedding dress made of t-shirts and napkins. i am not making this up. WTF.

(on the other hand, definitely cheaper/less hassle than most people go through for weddings.)

in excellent news, i don't have sleep apnea! i just have lousy sleep habits and i'm supposed to keep this sleep diary for the next six weeks and i don't get to do any more reading in bed. this kind of sucks a bit because i like reading in bed, but i'm only supposed to be sleeping in bed. i guess this is kind of like the sleep-equivalent of slouching or really bad posture? oh well, no sleep apnea is good - there's a risk for 'central' sleep apnea with methadone use so it's good to have it checked i suppose. (that's when all the mechanical stuff is working fine but your brain gets all relaxed and forgets to tell you to breathe. this is apparently the biggest risk of methadone + narcotics use)
GO ME. also i probably should not sleep on my back as much, because they weren't able to check that, so I may still have sleep apnea when i sleep on my back. (that does happen - she sees it sometimes). apparently that one night i didn't sleep on my back. (probably because it was goddamn cold in the testing room and turning around with a ton of wires strapped to you is difficult and kind of annoying.)

further: i have put harnesses (not Harknesses. although that would be more interesting) on the cats. they kind of hate me right now, although i am winning back their love with pieces of freeze dried salmon and two new catnip mice.

the library is open again! and there was MUCH rejoicing.

that's all i've got.
