getting the last few things ready for the trip. i have found a hotel when i need one; i have scheduled a rental electric wheelchair for NYC (pretty much everyone i'm staying with in boston has cars so i'm just going the cars + crutches route). i have pickup from the airport and so on. tomorrow i am picking up a portable internet-thingy (one of those mifi mini-cellphone-wireless-router things from sprint.) and pack and gathering up little 'round rock' type thank you gifts for people i'm staying with (because i am that kind of girl) and i'm seeing my doctor.
not The Doctor, sadly. although i ran into The Doctor at pike place market today - or, well, a reasonable facsimile of The Doctor - actually it was just a cardboard cutout, one of those lifesize ones. he had his TARDIS with him of course, and a Dalek. went something like this
phin: *dee-dee-dee bopping along in the wheelchariot* *turns corner*
Doctor: OH HAI PHIN (or actually *....* (Doctor stands there looking fab as always)
phin OMFG WHOA UNSEXPECTED DOCTOR.
(i typoed 'unsexpected' and decided to leave it alone.)
(in other fandom news i have yet to watch House but i'll get to that soon.)
