BUNNY INNA SHOE!

i really love this cake server. it's kind of ridiculously expensive, but it would be a great wedding present. and it's beautifully designed. (i started to notice that when i was in new york with [profile] calamusroot; we went around to the MOMA design stores and i bought and saw some awesome things there (paperclips! really awesome bracelet! some great kitchenwares!).

i'm also totally obsessed with that site in general: i just bought marimekko sheets, the big blue poppies. their wallpaper is fabulous.

(i admit that one of the reasons i kind of want a job is so someday sooner our credit will be fixed up enough to where we can get a condo. i want to be able to make my own decorating decisions and i desperately want one of those walk-in-tubs.)

president obama signs inclusive hate crimes legislation the only thing that 'bothers' me about this is that from what i remember hearing it's been in progress since 1996. THIRTEEN YEARS. just - UGH. that is way too long to sit on something like this, yk?

shackleton's whisky preserved in ice for 100 years how awesome is that? (and the bottles didn't break, either.)

why are fat people abused? excellent article on weight discrimination. (i made the mistake of reading the user comments again. they were literate and sensible for about the first half dozen or so and then of course there's at least one who DID NOT GET THE FUCKING POINT - that it's not a black and white 'addiction to food'. it's that we're not all built the same. (i agree that some people have unhealthy eating habits. but it was fairly clear that she just didn't get the point. even though it was repeated and repeated throughout the article. *ARGH* so frustrating!)

ice stories: it has begun! i'm kind of in love with these little polar scientists posts. <3

still sick. have appt. with my primary care guy this afternoon, which i need to go to even though i feel horrible. ergh. pain still stupid and epic despite tramadol. (i am so grateful for my rheumatologist, because i am sure i would be even more miserable without it.) need to re-update my meds worksheet, check the mail, get some food, take my late-morning-noonish meds. hand twitches still awful. argh!

on the upside, i found my earwarmer headband thing, which had been missing. <3

augh.

phinnia: asian person demonstrating proper use of facemask (birdflu)
i have swine flu. (at least it's statistically likely that i do. i have some kind of flu, and most of what's going around right now is the bacon variety, according to my doctor.)
i has tamiflu and ice cream and all that stuff i listed yesterday. plus more pain and a fever that's fevering even through the tylenol.
