- Out of Advil and too lazy to go out and get more. This means I'm reduced to Zicam Sinus. Which WORKS, but which is like inhaling a Halls or scrubbing out your nose with Dr. Bronner.
- Babysitterperson is wonderful.
- House looks like bomb exploded in it and littered dishes and toys everywhere as part of the fallout. To say nothing of laundry. I'm sick enough that I can't bring myself to care, and have resolved to fix this ... later. Next week.
- Verizon has hopefully not lost Chris's invoice AGAIN.
- They may have to move his India trip AGAIN to later in January.
- I read several books yesterday: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, The Reptile Room (Lemony Snicket #2), Dancing Barefoot and the end of Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom. They were all quite good, and fortunately their plots did not decide to combine in my dreams.
- I also failed to wake up to a Bush press conference.
- I like buying Seventh Generation natural tissues, but they're not exactly soft.
- Today I plan on finishing Neverwhere and The Wide Window (Lemony Snicket #3).
- And when I saw this, I thought 'holy crap, that's Tieunis and Sander.'

list 2: bride of list
Dec. 22nd, 2004 12:09 pm- house is still messy.
- invoice, however, has been located, processed, and we should see money either Friday, Saturday (if the computers update - it's an EFT) or Monday at the worst.
- conference call re: India - tomorrow at 11 AM PST.
- I love my husband - he's going out to get sinus medication for me and the boy.
- Our cats are the only cats in the world that hate wet cat food.
- Every year I am reminded how much I love this Christmas CD.
- Today I have to call the yarn store, wrap
tallin's Christmas gifts, and pick up all the ornaments the cats have knocked on the ground. Even though I can't bend over because a thousand quarts of ew rushes into my frontal sinus cavity. PAIN.
- This is really freaky, and yet strangely compelling. (link from
clawfoot.)
- We recieved a gorgeous card from
heathrow and the cutest picture of Miss Amelia EVER. Thank you!
Yes, it would, actually. I'd love some. The problem is that rhubarb is generally out in the spring and yet we always had rhubarb pie at Christmas dinner. (And mincemeat. I hate mincemeat. And tomato juice, which I also hate. Not cranberry sauce, because my whole family hated cranberry sauce. But I digress.) This was accomplished through the forethought of frozen rhubarb. Pick it out of the backyard (and eat some, because that's what you DO) and then freeze it after cutting it up.
Now I'm here in Oregon and dreaming of rhubarb pie - unfortunately most places here don't have it. *weeps* Is there such thing as pre-frozen rhubarb? Does Trader Joes carry it perhaps?
I have cold medication and therefore can sustain a complete thought again. This capability evaporated for about half an hour after I ran across the Rapture Index (which was originally found by
weaktwos) and had to hide in a small fetal ball for a while. Then I looked at Steve, don't eat it! and was strangely comforted, even after reading about how he drank CHOCOLATEY BREAST MILK.
