phinnia: it's a brain. in a skull. (brain)
My transcripts from York never GOT to Emerson. They got sent. Emerson never recieved them.
I heard back from the Intermediate Fiction Dude. He said I am a 'definite candidate' (what, I need to Impress him or something?) But he's not doing the final roster until Wednesday night. So more waiting in limbo.
*kills things*

Edit: YES. All hail the little gay man. (also known as the receptionist at Emerson). They were lost, as usual. They are now found.

There are eighteen spots in this workshop class.
There were twenty-two people in the room when I left it.
I would probably kill and maim and bribe for one of those spots.
Please, please, please ...
(I'll find out tomorrow night. By which time I should be a gibbering mess. Stay tuned.)

Now that I'm done angsting. I will hang my hat on the words 'legitimate candidate' and the fact that he didn't have to email me anything in response to the email I sent him, and just hope.
(I'm not /asking/ for good vibes, but if you have any to spare, I'd certainly appreciate it. I suppose it sounds a little lame, at least to me it does, but this means a lot to me.)

No, I'm going to be amused by the puns for a literary themed restaurant, and disgusted by more and more republican hypocrisy, as well as the fact that Terri Schaivo's parents are selling their contributor list to a direct marketer. (The last one is a NYT article which requires registration, but I've never been spammed by them ever, so ... yeah.)

I have my books. I do not have my recorder, but that said I have /a/ recorder, and thusly I will be fine with that one for the next few days until I have a chance to get out and pick up the one he wants us to get. The fingering's the same anyway. (I think mine is slightly off tune, according to Mr. Perfect Pitch, and wouldn't be good for playing in class. I should have time to get it tomorrow morning.)

My Online Magazines book is awesome. Any book with portions largely written by William Gibson has my heart from the very beginning.

This semester stands a good chance of kicking my ass severely, but it will do it in a loving and kind way that will make me learn. So ... yay for that. If I'm still sane enough to enjoy it.

A few questions:
What's the best way to clean a whiteboard? (you know, those dry-erase whiteboards)
Anyone know of a natural carpet cleaner? The one that came with my little bisell machine gave me the worst headache after using it for ten minutes.
