I completely fail to comprehend why someone would hire someone else to install a piece of software. Like, pay money to someone else to install a piece of software. Assuming, of course, that we're not talking a server or something. Just a regular old windows program.

Not that I'm COMPLAINING. It just feels like tossing your money away.

Edit: Okay, I go out and buy me a blender, right? I take it home and figure out how to use it. I don't let it sit there and collect dust, or use it as a doorstop, or what have you.

So why is it that so many people will buy a computer and have no idea how to use it and not bother trying, when doing the same thing with a blender or a breadmaker would be ridiculous? And why this is considered okay?

Okay, I don't generally get all excited over expensive furnishings. And I wouldn't normally even think about buying Sean a nine hundred dollar toybox.
But damn, Musical Furnishings is really, really cool. If I ever get a house, I'm getting one of their porch swings.

Yes, tempeh is weird. I'll readily admit that. But prepared certain ways, it's damn good, too.

From my local naturopath's cookbook, modified a little.

Mix the following in a bowl:

1 pkg. tempeh, cut into small cubes (best to do this when it's partly frozen, it cuts much easier)
2 tblsp minced dill pickles or to taste
1 bunch green onions (original recipe used regular onions)
1 grated carrot
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped (they said red: I had green - I'm sure any colour would work fine.)
4-5 tblsp mayonnaise
1 tsp mustard (they said regular; I used dijon)
1 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp dill
1/2 tsp basil
dash paprika (this wasn't in the original, but it worked.)
dash garlic powder

I had this in a wrap; it's tasty. Kind of similarish to what I remember chicken salad being like.
