run-on-sentence ahoy
Dec. 2nd, 2005 12:05 pmI'm trying to decide what to think about this story in ScienceBlog about a new book featuring solar photography with tactile graphics ... whether I should be annoyed (because this is nothing near as revolutionary as they make it sound, in truth, at least in the technological notion of 'raised graphics' - it's revolutionary in the other sense, which brings me to my second point) or sad (because more books aren't like this, and we won't even talk about the damned game industry, because that's another frothing rant for another time - and how the most up-to-date modified board game I can buy is Scrabble, which is fun, but ... there are so many other games out there, many of which are mostly cards and could be made usable with little adaptation, but so many people don't bother to complain, so it never gets done and we won't even discuss how there are hardly any children's games out there at all, and no, adapting them myself is not really something I'd prefer to do, because that contributes to the problem rather than finding a solution to it through the mainstream ... whoops ... *wipes froth off of mouth*) so I think I'm just going to say "I have mixed feelings on this" and end this sentence before anyone gets injured by being caught in it, or something.
