Jul. 7th, 2004 04:03 pmMost people, in describing the late summer weather in southern Sardova, simply used the word 'hot'. Of course, in using such a simple word, they missed out on a lot of subtleties inherent in the coastal nation's climate. 'Hot' was technically correct, but so was 'humid' or 'sticky' or 'muggy', and that didn't even begin to cover the more colourful phrases that most of the sailors used. The fact that the weather changed on ten minutes' notice from blistering heat to violent downpour only served to complicate the matter.
